Moisturizing your skin

Moisturizing is vital for a healthy skin. Because the usual creams don’t always work, here is what you can do to enrich your daily routine, in order to have a complete skin care, on all levels:

Thermal water has a calming action, uncongestioning and prevents the skin from aging. It’s ideal for sensitive skin, easily irritable, or very dry, for which ensures a proper moisturizing. Pulverize some thermal water on the skin the mornings and the evenings, after removing the makeup. You can also use it in case of solar burns or in hot summer days, for its cooling and energizing effect.

Ice cubes have a skin moisturizing action, accompanied by a fortifying and a revitalizing action. You may use ice obtained from water or different teas with antioxidant and calming effects, like green tea or chamomile tea. After removing the makeup, take some ice cubes and rug them in a circular motion on the face, outwards.

Natural tea compresses are amongst the oldest, cheapest and most efficient methods of skin moisturizing, so why shouldn’t you use them? Especially they are so available to anybody. All you have to do is an infusion from dry plants, apply it on the skin by using warm compresses on the clean skin. The most indicated teas are chamomile, mallow, com flowers or white tea.

Moisturizing creams. In order for a cream to satisfy your daily needs, the cream must have a formula that is special for the type of skin you have, also a fine texture that allows it to be absorbed in the skin fast. Apply it every morning, after removing makeup, by following the 3 steps that increase its effectiveness:

1. Moist the skin

Pulverize some thermal water on the skin, for the pores to open and absorb the product better; on the moist skin, the cream adheres better and reaches the deepest layers.

2. Rub the cream.

With gentle circular moves, rub the cream from the forehead to the neck and from the inside towards outside.  If the skin is dry, massage it, before applying the cream, with some herbal oil.

3. Eliminate stress

After a few minutes, touch softly the face with an absorbing tissue.

Fruit or vegetable juice masks. Masks repair the tired skin, give back its brightness and help keeping the skins natural moist level. Raw cucumber is one of the most well known herbal treatments. Cut medium slices, put them on gauze and let them work on the skin for 30 minutes. A powerful skin moisturizing role can play a combination made of orange juice and honey or carrot juice and olive oil. When applied periodically, these complete perfectly your daily skin care routine.
